FAQs
Do you have a physical location?
Yes! Our small pasta shop and factory store are located at 555 Francisco Blvd E, Suite 24, San Rafael, CA 94901. We are open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10-6, but you can also find us often kicking around late Sunday and Monday afternoons (but call first before you make a trip on Sun/Mon to make sure we’re here!)
If I make an account, do you share or sell my information?
Sacre bleu! Never! Our Privacy Policy is that your info is in the system, and tbh, we can’t even see most of it, Squarespace does a wicked good job of keeping that stuff secure. So. You should be good!
Do you have fresh (not dried) pastas available?
Yes! At our farmers market locations and at our factory store. The offering weekly is usually fresh bucatini, fresh gluten-free, and then at least one flavored pasta that rotates each week.
I didn’t like the pasta I received, or there was an issue with it. What to do?!
Oh no! I’m so sorry! Please shoot me an email directly at tony@millvalleypasta.com for us to be able to take corrective action, offer a refund, or get you a replacement. Refunds will be administered back to the account and method of payment received, and if that is not possible, store credit in the form of an e-gift card.
Do you have vegan pastas?
Yes! All of our pastas, with exception to our squid ink pasta, egg noodles, and gluten-free pastas, are vegan. We know, you thought there were eggs in pasta?! That’s only one style of pasta (all’ouovo), but this aint it. Mmmkay?

What’s in your pastas?
For our plain pastas, it’s organic semolina flour… and water. Which we then evaporate out in the drying process. Our flavored pastas usually have one additional ingredient added to them for flavor / color.
How long before my pasta ships if I order from the website?
Our official fulfillment policy is that we will ship most orders in 7 business days, and if we are unable to because something is out of stock or some other reason, we will contact the buyer to offer a refund, a replacement, or find a solution that works!
Do you have gluten-free pastas?
Yes! We have gluten-free pastas in both fresh and dried options, with fresh only able to be picked up at one of our farmers market stops each week. Dry Gluten-Free pastas are able to be shipped.

Aren’t you the cooking class guy?
Yes, MVPCo. started because I was furloughed due to Covid. It’s quite the story actually. Buy some pasta, meet me for a beer, and I’ll tell it to you!
What’s your favorite shape?
I mean, I like all of them equally…. (Mafaldine is my favorite).
What makes your pasta different?
We exclusively use organic semolina flour, a type of durum wheat flour. We make our pastas in small batches, no greater than 48 lbs at a time. But the biggest thing about our pastas that sets us apart is that we then take our pastas and dry them in the open air, not in a drying machine, so our pastas are dried the exact way dried pastas were made 100 years ago. This slow drying gives the pasta a superior texture that is not achievable from drying machines or drying conveyors.
Starting in 2024, we decided to dedicate ourselves to using locally grown wheat in all of our plain pastas. We have been working with Honore Farm and Mill to source a locally grown flour that is incredibly special. Believed to be one of a handful, if not the only, of growers of this wheat in the US, this ancient grain was lost for more than 1800 years when it was discovered buried in a fortress in the Milddle East in 1960. Additionally, we anticipate launching our “Antica” line, featuring this Hourani wheat as the primary flour for the small selection of pastas in the lineup.
